Garden: The Chakvi bird...

The Chakvi bird is separated throughout the night, yet at daybreak, she meets her mate — but those who are separated from Ram find Him neither by day nor by night.

Next: This is the end of a path, but not the end of the garden. Return to the beginning: would you like to follow the FLUTE, or answer the call of the VEENA?

Chakvi = Ruddy Shelduck. You can read the legend associate with this bird at the New Indian Express: There were once two lovers, but the gods did not approve, so they turned the lovers into chakvi birds and places them on opposite shores of a river, doomed never to meet again. The male Chakva calls out "AAAAONG, AAAAONG" ("Can I come?"), and the Chakvi replies, "NAHI AAAAONG" ("Don't come.)
